Hands Recognition and Tracking Their Position

Hi, do you have any tip on some hands recognition and tracking workflow via cv.jit objects or kinect v1?
I don't need something precise like LeapMotion but just some algorithm, if already available (or hopefully a patch/object), recognizing hands and tracking their position.
I already tried to get a look on cv.jit.learn but before to start I've read about a certain instability of the possibility to track an open hand.
In this article I've seen something interesting but looks a development of further stereocams like kinect v2 and else:
