Help with an interactive music video patch

Hello all!

I have been wanting to make a pointillistic patch for a little bit now. I want to make a patch where the user can import their own videos or use their own webcam to create a music video, I would love if the interactive part of the patch was where you can change colors, manipulate the visuals, etc. and have a pointillism effect over the video.

Hopefully when you see my patch you will get a better idea of what I need help with? My patch is kind of a mess, im very much a beginner and still trying to figure everything out. Im not sure how to stop the flashing of the layers in my jit.window when my video is up, you'll see what I mean when you open the patcher.
