So I have a instrument using poly. inside it is a mc.generate and I want to select it's operator function from outiside poly with an attrui. I know I could use umenu e.g. but I want to have the existing long list that automatically appears upon connecting attrui to the mc.generate. 

if i connect the attrui into the poly, the attrui only seems to think i want to change poly attributes. how do i go about this? s/r doesn't work either. What would I need? Thanks!

Is it related to ticks, MIDI clock, or some other unit of time? Does

I’m trying to understand how the number affects the playback tempo, and whether

 corresponds to the default playback tempo of 120 BPM.

Besides the AI generated text, I write a little bit from the hip. It sounds more real. 

Lets start with fact that I am using AI to write javascript. I have always used AI to write script. It just wasn't called that, it was called stack overflow (mostly) or well, git hub. AI is just a faster way to write script and math out some stuff that I could never do. And AI is rocking the shit out of some code> I even fed it an extremely complex 'work around' I made in max for pattrstorage and presets, this evolved quickly in [touch.status] and [touch.statusmanager].

But this AI only goes one way. It has exactly 0% success writing max json patches and worse -max5 patch code has never even opened. So NEVER try to use AI for writing max patches. (That is a very strong recommendation!) - However it has had some 

success sending a simple max diagram for connecting simple things. 

Next, I should say that these objects are currently in testing mode. That means things like help files, messaging, minor quirks, are still being refined. For example I think the [mbutton] outlets are backwards and should be reversed. The raw number should be on the left and routable multi-button names should come out the right.

There are at least four new objects sketched ahead, including a new vision of matrix control and a dial. (Jeez, that dial. I have to literally  practice throughout the day to decide if real world folks lean toward  using 2 or 3 fingers to turn a dial) -- as well as some other fun stuff. 

Uhmmm, if nothing else, check out touch.status and touch.statusmanger. 

Currently there are no errors in my console.

I've built a markov midi sequence quite similar to the one in this video: 

This model, however, reads a loaded midi file into the ml.markov object, which then uses that input to create the midi sequence (time stamp from 4:35). I'm curious if anyone has any ideas as to how I could possibly eliminate the midi file step so that the chain instead uses last played notes it has generated to determine future notes.

a) manually give the machine an initial starting note

b) find a replacement for the "build" object or find a way to constantly update it.

The build I'm currently working on creates segments by using two-digit pairings from the decimal series of pi (i.e., 3.14159... = 1,4; 4,1; 1.5; 5,9; etc.) to determine number of notes played, and number of times each segment is played (i.e., 1,4 = 1 note, 4 times). So as you go along the decimal series, I want the information from prior segments to influence the notes chosen for current segments (and on and on).

lets say I have 5 oscillators with a line adsr. I want to control each release time individually. you have values 100, 200, 300, 400 and 500ms for the release time. I have a mc.line with: 0, 1 10 1 1000 0 xy

Now how do I send the values so that it applies these individual release times?

so i'm aware that using the mc.adsr object with signals is probably the easier way. but i want to know how to do it with mc.line anyway.
