Sorry, I am really new to dict and even after checking the forum there is several problems here I don't manage to understand.

I need to get the beat_time of the warp marker before the last warp marker of an audio warped clip.

Its real value is "16.958435314685314" as shown when I open the dict

But if I query it, I only have "16.958435"

and even dict.view don't give me the value with all the decimals.

So when I want to move it, the marker seems to do not exist, and I have an error, because I cannot call the marker with all the decimals that allow to tell wich marker I want to move

If I create a marker that have less decimals, I can query it without any problem and the warp_marker is well moved...

So, the question is : How do I move a warp_marker of an audio warped clip if this marker has lots of decimals ?

I looked in the "getinfo", but couldn't find a way to select all the sub tracks in a group.. so this is my solution.. it seems wild.

Me and my friend have a big liveset with a combined track count of around 800 ableton tracks. All the songs are organized in group tracks, each song is a different group. Because we have around 30 songs with a lot plugins i wanne make a device that turns on/off  these plugins per song.

The device that chooses wich song to play is already made, but i now need a max for live device that i can drop on the grouptrack of the song and searches for all the tracks that are in this grouptrack.  If i now wich tracks are in this group it will be easy to turn all the plugins of because all the plugins per track are in an intrument rack, so it can be turn of be finding the path "live_set tracks (X) devices 0 parameters 0"

The only problem i encountered is that i can seem to find a way to find the path of all the tracks that are in the selelected group track. I could only see the group track ID of the track, i want this reverse. Is this even possible or should i make a  whole scanning device for this. 

I also could just manualy map all the on/off  switches of the instruments rack but this doesn't seem a clean solution for such a big project.

About 10 years ago I wrote a series of tutorials that walked people through using the Live API with JavaScript. A lot of people gave me very positive feedback on this (it might be the most popular thing I ever published online), but a lot of the content had become obsolete by the time Live 11 launched because of deprecations in the Live API to facilitate MPE support. I've been meaning to update it for years, but my priorities were in a different place for a long time. Because the old content was obsolete, I didn't even maintain the old website and 

you can only find the old tutorials on the web archive

That's a real a shame, so I'm very happy to announce the tutorials have been resurrected and updated for Live 12! (Technically Live 11 or higher)

Just in time to be obsoleted by Max 9 and v8 too... lmao, nooooo 😭 

It's ok, I'm on top of v8. There's info about my plans at the link above. v8 is great and I'm looking forward to it as the future of JavaScript in Max and Max for Live.

I'm open to any constructive feedback. Find a typo? Something looks wonky in your browser? Think a section is not clear enough, or too ELI5 and verbose? Did you try to generate a clip 37-times-the-age-of-the-universe in duration in the final tutorial and it crashed your computer? Let me know here. I hope this will be a good resource for everyone for years to come (especially once I add v8 content) and I'm happy to keep refining it.

So I've got a live.numbox in percent unit style with a range of 0 to 200, and I'd like it to have 201 possible values. With the steps attribute set to 0, I can only land on odd numbers. If I set steps to 201, I can only land on even numbers. If I set steps to 402, it works as expected (I'm able to select every integer from 0 to 200). Am I missing something about how this is supposed to work?

[Edit: My original post said that changing the steps attribute seemed to stop the numbox sending out its value on startup, but never mind, I think that’s a separate issue.]

I'm building a sort of arpeggiator. I want to sort incoming Midi from the lowest note to the highest note when playing a quantized chord into my device. 90% of the time the midi from Ableton actually is already sorted that way, so the first note that arrives is the lowest and I can happily use a Poly object. 

But with some chord changes this does not work - usually if I only change one note in my chord from one to the next.
