I have a patch that embed several instances of the same bpatcher with a grid inside. I can see in the pattrstrorage the pad on and off but when I save the patcher and reopen it this settings are not recalled.

I have named the grid with "#0-grid" but this does not work too.

I tried with an embeded bpatcher and the grid is properly saved and reloaded. But apparently not when the bpatcher is created outside.

The one that does not work is bigger. So I am not sure I can copy it but this is the subpatch I try to embed:

I guess the problem is that I try to have several instances of this last one in one single patch. Let me know.

Are settings in an external bpatcher saved in the pattrstorage root patch ?

I updated my 9 to the most recent version and I'm having this weird problem Ive never encountered before where I cant save or update any new patchers made at the project level.

If i open it directly from the project browser it does the same thing. I restarted max, restarted my computer, its impossible to edit the patch because it wont save. If i save it as a different name then pull it into the project, same issue. this is a huge problem and has stopped my team of individuals from working on this project.

I am a university student in need of some programming assistance. I am creating a Maxmsp software where real-time heartbeat is used to control the volume of music tracks in a song. I’m looking at getting some assistance with connecting the heart rate monitor to the Max8 program. I am using a Polar H7 Bluetooth Heart Rate Monitor, which I have already been able to pair to my Windows PC. I have already worked out the audio parts of the program, I just need a way to connect, record and display the heart rate in Max8 in real time. Thank you all very much for your time and I hope to hear from you all soon!

Has anyone managed to get the Fingerpinger external working in Max 8.3?

It seems to still work in 8.1 but doesn't produce any output at all in 8.2 onwards..

The source code is available so there is a chance it could be updated to work on later Max versions but if any Cycling devs have some info on why it wouldn't work, that would be great. It does use the Apple MultitouchSupport framework so maybe that is causing an issue...

I can't find anything on the forums or elsewhere about this message, but an interactive booth (max-based) we put up last year at the science center here in Montreal is starting to give this message and won't connect to the in/outputs. We are using a Focusrite soundcard (Scarlett 18i8), running Max 7 on a PC platform.

I'm assuming that the message translates as something like Audio driver is getting a zero signal vector size, but not sure what that implies or what might be the issue. The soundcard comes up in the list when adststus is polled, and is selected, and its own driver software seems to be working fine.

The s2m wacom object is real old now, I've been trying for months to get my app past apple notarization but the s2m.wacom object is too old to fly.

Anyone have any hunches how I might get around this? Some other way to read the wacom pen pressure?

The reference for umenu states that the color attribute takes four floats (rgba). However, if I send a message such as “color 0. 1. 1. 1.” to umenu I get an "extra arguments for message "color"" error. Sending a single float does not throw an error, it appears to index a color in a palette. Is there a way to set the toggle mode text On color in rgba?

The suckah object is not working properly anymore, in the help patch of suckah.maxhelp I don't get the correct values. Also the suckah object in the jit.chromakey helpfile doesn't work anymore.

I get only values like 1. 1. 1. and in between it gives a jittering value of RGBA: 0.258824 0.258824 0.258824 when it should be full green, red or blue values.

Can someone confirm this behaviour or is it my computer?

I'm slightly stumped as to how best proceed in making this FM synth polyphonic; if anyone could point me in the right direction or suggest some patchers to look at that would be greatly appreciated!
