I am trying to export a Max for Live device I built to control a guitar pedal as a standalone app. I made the needed changes such as being able to detect and change midi outputs as well as configuring the standalone object. However, when I launch the app on Mac or Windows there is an odd delay before the pedal starts responding. It seems like I have send program change numbers up to around 25 and then I'll see the pedal jump to 17 and then quickly to 18, 19, 20...all the way to 25 and then the app seems to work as normal. Sometimes it doesn't respond no matter what I do. I did some testing using the print object and messages are being sent down the midiout right away so perhaps it at the OS level?

Any advice or guesses is always appreciated. I definitely update this thread if I get to the bottom of it.

I ran into a situation while testing a Max project where I needed to post a string bigger than what the post() function / Max Console output allows. I figured I would post the solution I used to help anyone else out there. The console seems to have issues somewhere between 2000 and 3000 characters. I used a maxSize of 2000 characters and that works well enough for me. Use the testing function with smaller strings to get an idea of how it works. This is super niche, but hopefully it will help somebody out there!

I have been trying to assign the matrixctrl grid to my midi device pads and I have been trying to do this using two if statements. The first if statement is so that when a specific pad is pressed it outputs the desired cell onto the matrixctrl . The other is so that once the velocity of the pad pressed is 0, it should clear the cell it was assigned to on the matrixctrl.

However I am unable to get it to work how it should and would appreaciate some help in solving this problem

i think there is certainly a more easy way 

in attach is the project reduce to 3 computation.

(one word over this project : it's to build a touchscreen with a lot of toggle we can move where we want.

it's ok i built it, it works perfectly but it take a lot of cpu :) )

I need to delay a series of events, hence the task object, but I also need to make sure the rest of the code waits until that series of events is complete to move on to the code below. Is there a way to do that without creating an infinite while loop as I have done above? I can't seem to find a way to accomplish this at least without a fundamental rebuild of how the rest the code is structured.

I am willing to use other methods such as Max Externals, but I need to access the Live API. As always, any advice is greatly appreciated!
