When fed a full scale sine wave, the cheby example (Help > Examples > synths > cheby) obviously glitches. Changing the lookup~ buffer size to 8191 (from 8192) samples seems to resolve this. Is this an issue with lookup~?

I am trying to create a standalone on a MacMini which has to start automatically. I am using a soundcard and have to switch on a dac~ with 6 outputs.

Any time the standalone application asks 3 times for microphone permission at start.

At the preferences under privacy a new enty is generated where i am able to allow the standalone to use the microphone. I think that an audio input is meant.

I would expect that next time I start the standalone no microphone permission windows would appear.

But unfortunately the opposite is the case. Always 3 times for microphone permission at start.

This is a show stopper for my use case ....

For the Max application itself everything is fine. Once I allowed the microphone input, I will never asked again. Perhaps it has something to do, that the standalone is not from a "trusted" developer? I am not an MacOS expert ...

Perhaps someone has already solved this problem.

I hope this is something obvious I am missing, but I am converting a rather large patch to RNBO.

all my message objects (and there are a lot!!) need to be changed to set objects.

I went through and changed them so they say "set depth1" for example, but it still thinks it is a message object.

Naturally I can just create a new object and type "set depth1" and it works properly, but having to recreate and rewire literally hundreds of them seems painful

Losing my mind here, trying to work out how to separate the multi-list that is outputted when banging mc.function.

Take a look at the following super simple batch

Its just an adstatus 0 connected to a umenu - nothing to it.  Just adding it here in case it helps. Reports my inputs / what hardware is in use for inputs.

I've been attempting to build a patch that re-connects to particular inputs / outputs whenever possible (using a 5 sec heartbeat rather than real time) - but thats another story.  Made some interesting discoveries, and also managed to crash max a 

However, tonight when finishing up another idea, I noticed some slightly unexpected behaviour.  For giggles, (and just following my nose) I printed the output of adstatus to the console - and saw something super interesting.  To me at least.  Its likely well known to many knowledgable folk here.

Whenever I went into the Audio Status menu (options) - and changed the audio driver to none, adstatus sent a clear, and just a single clear message - as expected. 

However, when I changed back to "core audio" it would send out a bunch of messages with strange (to me) behaviour.  Its like it repeated itself entirely - but also, the "set 2" messages (to get the current list of inputs) seemed repeated for no reason at all.

I'm kinda at sea as to why its happening.  Is it because the Audio Status menu is actually itself just using adstatus?  But then why the odd "set 2" behaviours?

Has anyone got any ideas on what is occuring here?  It actually completely explains some other behaviours I saw when trying to implement my reconnect function in entirely different ways - likely even leading me to abandoning the direction and trying something else new.

I am assuming what your looking for is when a pad is hit at velocity x it triggers sound file y and when its velocity a it triggers sound file b??

If your importing the midi data from the pad then each pad with have a note and velocity, you can then have the velocity trigger different sound file.

I encountered a problem with kslider recently. When it is set to "Touchscreen" mode and receiving/displaying MIDI notes, controlling it with the mouse will cause the mouse selected notes to get stuck. Neither the "clear" nor the "flush" messages can clear them, as demonstrated in the video.

I don't think this behavior is specific to the Convolution Reverb device, but here is the repro:

In my opinion, this is a major issue. This means that if the path of an IR file changes, a project using it may suddenly sound completely different, and the user won't be able to tell why. This happened to me when changing PC and I can no longer make some old projects sound like the released version as I don't remember which IRs from my huge library were used.

I believe Ableton should be able to report it like any other missing audio assets.
