AAF Bridge converts between native Ableton Sets and AAF, XML, FCPXML, FCPXMLD — both directions.

Timeline → Ableton Live (Resolve, Pro Tools, Avid, Premiere/FCP, Nuendo, etc):

- Sample-accurate clip positions and source offsets, named tracks

- Fades & crossfades (become Live-native crossfades), clip gain, volume automation, pan, markers, track/clip colors (some editors don't write automation or pan in AAF, please see our guide)

- Picture cut on its own video track — mix to image inside Live

- MXF-wrapped audio (Resolve) converts to WAV automatically

Ableton Live → Timeline (Resolve, Pro Tools, Avid, Premiere/FCP, Nuendo, etc):

- Named tracks, sample-accurate positions, full handles

- Real AAF crossfade transitions, clip gain, volume curves

- Timecode track at the session frame rate

- Optional "collect media": one movable turnover folder

One detail worth calling out: crossfades map to each format's native construct — Live's own crossfade encoding on import; real AAF dissolves, FCPXML overlaps on export. Full blend length, no level dip, acoustically as close as the target renders — never two touching fades faking a blend.

Every conversion writes a plain-text report — what transferred, what needs attention (e.g. warped clips to consolidate). No MIDI, no plugin chains: AAF can't carry those, and the report says so plainly rather than dropping things silently.

I'm having trouble putting all the separate elements and examples of MIDI / MPE together.

I want to have a maximum of 4 voice numbers.

I also want to be able to send to Slide, AfterTouch, and Pitchbend.

I know the poly object can index notes, but i don't see a way for mpeformat or midiformat to receive an index, unless the right inlet of midiformat is for this? Although thats called "midi channel"

I thought this is where poly~ would be useful, since it seems like polymidiin handles a lot of that, but multiple forum posts say it's not necessary. ( 

So I'm using a poly to index, then a [route 1 2 3 4], to direct to the mpeformats "note channel" (assuming same thing as "voice number". ) but poly was giving my note-offs a different index than the note-ons depending on where in the network i put it. 

Either way, this seems to work, but i don't think its very scalable. Is there a better way to execute such a thing?

I have some questions about file dependencies of buffer?

In the version 1.3.4 of RNBO, when I export patch on Raspberry the file in a buffer (@file) is always load.

Instead in the newer version 1.4.3, at the export all is fine. But after reboot the Raspberry, the buffer is empty??

I'm working on a patch with some node.js scripts but as the project will grow quickly I would prefer to store those scripts in a separate subfolder. Thats a thing I was used to do a lot for other subdatas like images, json, txt files for qlist and coll.

The problem, as I want my project to be portable without using a standalone, is that those files need either to be in the search path or called explicitely.  I usually managed to do that by calling a loadmess path to a thispatcher then append to filepath search 0...

...but node.js doesn't seems to like this way as it instanciate before the loadmess is called and there is no method to my knowledge to load/reload/change the script file after the instanciation.

So any solution would be welcome but something better actually come in mind... and I would like Cycling team feedback about why it hasn't been done before. I would like to suggest to add an 'include patcher subfolder in searchpath' in the patcher option. Something which would act prioritary to all other loadings and which files are prioritary when there is doubles within other search path. This would save a lot of time and would be very usefull to organise project folder in a more free way. And actually I see no downside in this but perhaps I'm misleading.

I'm working on a tree vibration installation and receiving live data from two ADXL345 accelerometers via the serial object in Max/MSP.

The data comes in as six float values per reading:

I'd like to record this data and play it back later for prototyping the sonification without needing the physical sensors connected.

1. Record and playback directly inside Max

2. Save to CSV and read it back in Max later

I’m a new owner of a Bela Gem Multi, my aim is to use it for a sound installation requiring multichannel audio played on headphones. For this, I wanted to use RNBO and then export the C++ code to run it on Bela. My actual project is to have a realtime selection of a lot of audio files (more than 500). There are predominantly under 30 seconds and goes to around 5 minutes for the longer ones. Right now, it does not work with this number of files when I build the exported C++ code with the Bela IDE. But it does work when I use less audio files (around 40, WAVE 48-24).

In RNBO, I use a very simple patch (screenshot below), to select the files read by a
